ATIR Workshops
For those who work in the healing professions, the physical, psychological and emotional demands often generate anxiety, stagnation, frustration apathy, and symptoms of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. Caregivers are often profoundly affected by the magnitude and severity of work related stress.
This two day workshop will provide an opportunity to identify, release and heal the stress associated with very demanding clinical work and work settings. Didactic information and self-assessments, along with the creative arts, will allow attendees to rediscover and redefine the dedication, passion, and hope that often becomes lost in an overload of difficult and exhausting cases, regulations, and paper work. Through the use of art media and creative arts therapy techniques, participants will engage in the creative process as a method of expression, discovery and healing. The workshop content is designed to prevent exposure to traumatic material and to heal the bodymindspirit.
All activities and level of participation are optional, designed for privacy, safety, rejuvenation, and healing. A portion of the workshop is devoted to supervisory issues and meets the requirements for supervision instruction for continuing education.
