
ATIR Workshops
This day long workshop is designed to offer knowledge and skills in the use of drawings and art making in family therapy. Following a description of family art therapy and general considerations about the use of art media with families, the workshop will focus on the practical application of a variety of assessment and treatment interventions. Attendees will learn how to introduce art making to families in therapy, how to utilize drawings and art media in the assessment of family roles, alliances, differentiation, communication patterns and parenting styles. Learning will include how to integrate drawings and art making into treatment for a variety of presenting issues in family therapy, and interventions for dysfunctional family patterns and interactions.
Role play will offer attendees the opportunity to experience and/or observe several demonstrations of the material presented.
