Introduction to Child Therapy |

Learn about creating an optimal child therapy setting, selecting art and play media, informational interviewing of parents or caregivers, basic developmental and psychological assessment, treatment planning, and treatment using a variety of creative arts including art, play, storytelling, movement, and drama.
Topics covered address separating from parents for therapy, establishing rapport, limit setting, addressing problematic or unsafe behaviors, resistance, and closure. Techniques will also be offered for responding to parent or caregiver questions about therapy progress.
Workshop fees: Workshop fees are $160
per day, and include all handouts, art supplies, lunch, and morning and
afternoon snacks. CE Credits are available for an additional $25,
our direct cost. |
