Description: This day long course is an active learning experience for effective grant writing for non-profit funding for the creative arts therapies. Students will utilize their own ideas and develop their own proposals as a method of learning to develop a needs assessment, identify and state a problem and develop objectives, methods, budgets, and identify and/or create the essential components of a grant proposal. Methods of locating, contacting, and tracking funding sources, and program evaluation will also be presented.

1. About the development of a needs assessment, objectives and methods for grant funding
2. How to research and evaluate funding sources
3. The essential components of a grant proposal
